From the bride, Stephanie:
Special Details: We aren’t very crafty so we skipped the DIY projects, but still wanted to find ways to personalize our day. We had fun coming up with our signature drinks because we were able to share our favorite cocktail recipes and came up with names for them that also described each of us. We had a dessert bar filled with all of our favorite treats and our wedding favors were cookies that had a picture of us. We also had a customized cake topper that incorporated each of our professions.
Favorite Moment: Aside from the obvious moments of meeting at the altar and saying our “I Do”s, we both agree that our favorite moment of the day was our first dance. It was so special to be able to slow down and have that moment together. Even though we were surrounded by all of our friends and family in the room, we were only focused on each other. Also, we had taken a couple of last minute dance lessons so it was fun getting to show off what we had learned.
Advice: Enjoy your big day! You get to marry the love of your life surrounded by your closest friends and family. I know that so much time (and money) goes into wedding planning so you want everything to be perfect, but your loved ones won’t care if it’s not. If you’re happy, they’ll be happy. The day really does fly by so don’t waste your time sweating the small stuff.
Favorite Photo: It’s too hard to pick just one favorite! We love the sparkler photos though because we remember how fun it was taking those pictures. Everyone was having such a good time waving their sparklers around and cheering while we ran through the crowd. There was so much excitement!
